Analysis of Casey DNA (Group 1 - SC & TN lines)

I know that we are all beginners at understanding what these DNA submissions mean and what we should do next. I know that we are all out there trying to analyze these submissions. I will be brave and make a first attempt at an analysis and welcome your comments (be nice but honest):

Robert Casey - Thanks!

Dear Robert et al.,

I just wanted to thank you (belatedly) for your wonderful analysis of the DNA results so far. I have to admit that I have been tied up with business and other personal issues for most of 2007 and so haven't been terribly involved in genealogy (regular or genetic or otherwise) most of this time, but hopefully now that I have taken my American Board of Urology recertification test (and I hope I passed!) and some of my "personal issues" have lessened (one of my beloved Scottish Terriers had been fighting lymphoma, but unfortunately developed a second malignancy in his nasal cavity that invaded the brain, and had to be put down a few weeks back :~< ), so I have just now gotten to the point where I'm freed up a little to get back into the swing of things... I know Robert had asked me to "help" with the genetics, me having a bachelor's degree in biology and an M.D., but I'm just a urologist, so I don't really do anything related to genetics in my field of work, and my degree was in 1987, so genetics are...well, not my forte' and I don't profess to be anything of an expert, though I may understand a little more than the average bear, but certainly am no expert...

Glad to be "back"!

Take care,

My bad Robert,

I added the link to your original post manually, but a line break got in there and messed it up. Fixed now.

Thanks for sharing your work, I'm looking forward to checking out your analysis.
